About Me

Born in Connecticut and raised in New York, I am the proud son of Jim and Kathyrn Sharp.

As the oldest of three, I grew up alongside my two sisters, Meghan and Caitlin.

Family is everything to me, and their support has been the backbone of my journey.

In 2021, my wife, Robin, our son Cullen, and I made the wonderful decision to move to Chesapeake Beach, and we’ve been loving it ever since.

We enjoy the close-knit community, small-town warmth, beaches in our backyard, and the laid-back lifestyle that Chesapeake Beach has to offer.

It’s been incredible getting to experience the unique rhythm of this town, and we’re grateful every day for the opportunity to call it home.

Currently, I serve as a Lieutenant with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC, where I have proudly dedicated the past 17 years to serving and protecting the community. In this role, I have gained extensive experience in managing complex situations and executing critical administrative responsibilities. My daily duties have honed my skills in leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning, demonstrating my competence and unwavering commitment to getting the job done effectively.

Additionally, I have been actively involved with the Chesapeake Beach Board of Appeals since 2022. This position has allowed me to contribute to our local governance, addressing community concerns and ensuring fair and informed decision-making processes. My ongoing involvement with the Board reflects my dedication to our town and my commitment to serving the community in multiple capacities.

Through my professional experiences and community involvement, I have developed a deep understanding of both large-scale and local governance, and I am passionate about applying this knowledge to continue making positive contributions to our town.
